FANTASTIC MR. FOX

We were looking for a dog. Not just any dog… That’s when Mr. Fox came into my life. I was in 3rd grade, nine years old. We stopped at the grocery store near my school at the time. As soon as we got out I noticed a van parked right in front of the pet store across the street. That van was the Seattle Humane Max  Mobile. I had no idea what it was, but I was drawn to it…  After we were done getting groceries, we started to take off. Then my mom stopped and asked me these words that would  forever change my life… “Do you want to go check it out?” I couldn’t believe what she had said. We turned around, parked, got out of the car. As soon as we started walking up the sidewalk towards the van, the first thing I saw was a little red vest that said “Adopt me” with a smiley face on it. It was being worn by the cutest dog I had ever seen… With a person holding his leash as people walked by. He was waiting for HIS home. We immediately went up to him and kneeled down and he started to lick our faces. In that moment we both KNEW he was coming home with us that day, we were meant to be his forever family. So we adopted him that day. His name was “Ollie” but my mom said “let’s call him “Mr. Fox!” After I had recently watched the movie "Fantastic Mr. Fox" by Roald Dahl. We brought him home, the rest is history. I love this dog with every ounce of my being. He is my OG Wild Canine. The first dog of my very own... That day was an unforgettable day full of pure magic. This dog has saved my life more times than he’ll ever know... My once in a lifetime, heart dog.  My Fox. You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me…  As you get older, your face turns more white and grey, it breaks my heart. It breaks my heart that he doesn't act like how he used to... It breaks me that he is near the end of his long life. There is not another dog quite - like him. He is the best, most precious thing in my life. I owe everything to him…
